曜变天目是全球仅现存三件的中国陶瓷至宝。本展览聚焦其神秘闪耀的基底黑色，介绍陶瓷和漆器工艺及刀剑等东方的“黑色”工艺，同时以最新成果为依据揭开曜变天目所蕴含的种种谜题。
